The 'me' in motion
The exhibition "The 'me' in motion" shows the individual, autobiographical gaze of Dominik Geis,
which is staged and portrayed through sometimes grotesque self-portraits.
In the photographs, installations and expansive video projections, he explores the question of the effect of self-images and images of others. Dominik Geis understands his works as studies; as an attempt to approach his self and the roles he plays in the great theatre of existence. He creates ambivalent situations with an unclear outcome, in which the human being as the main actor is at the centre.
